case study
Studenthaus

A portion of Studenthaus' homepage that highlights through a visual the collaborative impact of the organization and includes a quote that drives the mission. Highlighting Studenthaus' services on a page geared towards potential clients, maintaining a professional look while still capturing attention through use of visuals. The homepage hero section for Studenthaus' website, built by Hourglass Web Design, that keeps to the client's wish for a sleek, modern, and professional vibe while driving action towards a 'see work' button. One of the CMS items highlighting the different research projects and market studies Studenthaus performs.

The change speaks for itself...

The wireframe made before setting up the actual design process to ensure my vision for the project matched the client's wishes. A few examples of the front-end of formatted CMS items, part of the backend database built by Hourglass Web Design to showcase the client's research projects & market studies. Some of the areas on the website where simple interactions were added to add visual appeal while still maintaining a professional appeal to large-scale housing development clients.

the Redesign process

The Studenthaus founder had been eyeing up a switch from Wix to Webflow for months. He knew it was the platform to translate his vision for the website, but didn't have the time to learn the platform.

I came in and took the redesign off his hands and free him up to focus on his business. The redesign concept was simple - a simple, clean, and speedy site that minimized blank spaces.

Database work

To showcase the multiple market studies and research projects that the organization did, part of the project involved setting up a CMS database & associated template pages.

Webflow CMS makes it easy to continually update the website as they come out with new research and projects they want to highlight to prospective clients.

Clean & simple interactions

While maintaining the sleek, professional, and clean image that we had in mind for the redesign, I added custom interactions & animations throughout.

These were all subtle, but helped to give the website extra life and draw extra attention to the different services provided.
