case study: LampPost Victoria

A collection of links to CMS pages highlighting the different min-communities that LampPost lists on their website. This was a massive CMS job.

The payments option page for LampPost, which allowed subscribers to pay directly in the website, create accounts, and highlighted the preferred option of the owners.

The LampPost events page, which need advanced filtering and easy navigation elements to sort through hundreds of database items quickly and efficiently for user experience.

The homepage hero section of LampPost Victoria's website, which needed to convey a sense of fun, a vibrant nightlife, and draw attention to two action buttons simultaneously.

The wireframe mockup that was done before starting on the LampPost project.

A small portion of the massive database that LampPost needed to store events in & manage effectively & easily without daily upkeep. This was the biggest part of the project.

the Planning process

As there was no previous website to work off, everything was done from step one.

I started with a basic wireframe, then began the design process with the general theme of a fun, vibrant, and easy to access platform in mind.

Database work

LampPost is an events platform in Victoria, BC and regularly had more than a thousand events to sort, display, and filter through.

Using custom code, Webflow CMS, and Airtable API keys, I was able to integrate an automated system that allowed for hands-off backend management and custom sorting & filtering options for site visitors.

Advanced interactions

One of the main ideas to focus on throughout the website was a lighthearted, fun vibe.

By adding in custom interactions & animations, the end result was a website with lots of movement, a sense of life and excitement, and dynamic flow for both desktop & mobile users.
